COVID-19 FAQs

When will Summit be open?

With the health and safety of our community at the heart of everything we do, we will work with local, state and federal officials to determine the best path to re-opening Summit. Once plans are in place, we will notify each club’s members via email and social media.

What are the hours of operation?

We are currently closed.

How many members are allowed in the gym at the same time?

Not sure yet.

What amenities are not available yet?

We are currently closed. We anticipate that when we are allowed to open that there will be some restrictions on class sizes and some other services.

Is Creche open?

Creche will remain closed until further notice.

Do I need to wear a face mask while working out?

The use of face masks while at the gym is optional. Summit staff will not be wearing face masks.

What are your social distancing guidelines while in the club?

We are asking all members to maintain a 1.5 metre distance between themselves and others in the club. Summmit has implemented procedures to help ensure these distancing guidelines are respected including visual reminders, area closures and staff to monitor and enforce these rules.

What else is Summit doing to keep the gyms clean?

Summit is requesting that all members disinfect equipment after use and is providing extra sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer. We will have Summit staff cleaning all open areas of the gym throughout every day and doing a deep clean every night after closing.

All members will be required to use hand sanitizer when arriving and leaving the Summit.

Can I use a guest pass to visit the gym?

Guest passes will not allowed until further notice. We will also not be accepting new members for the first 60 days upon reopening. Our priority will be the safety of our current staff and members.

When are you going to charge my membership fees?

We will unfreeze all memberships and resume billing on the day Summit re-opens. Personal Training fees will not start until it is organised with your Trainer. We will extend the expiration date for all unused PT sessions for 3 months

Will I get a credit for the learn-to-swim fees I paid for?

Everyone who paid term fees for term 1 missed out on the last three weeks of term. We will honour those paid lessons once we are allowed to reopen. Stay tuned for more info.

Can I cancel my membership now?

We are currently not accepting any cancellations, variations or timestops. Your membership fees are currently frozen until we reopen.

Can I put a temporary freeze on my membership when you reopen?

We realize that the COVID-19 pandemic has created unforeseen circumstances for many people, so we want to make sure that you know you can re-freeze your membership for up to an additional three months once we reopen. This is a great option if you need a little extra time to make it back to the gym.
